IMPORTANT and current GMO information :
This is it !! I-522 – Washington’s bill to Label GMOs.
There has been a grassroots coalition meeting these last few months
and GMO Free Washington is joining the coalition.
Our initiative will make labeling of GMO foods a requirement in Washington through our statewide initiative process.
Our goal is to gather 320,000 signatures before the end of 2012
AND WE NEED YOUR HELP – YES EACH OF YOU.
Steve Hallstrom, an organic farmer (Let Us Farm) has led the coalition and
a board of directors was elected to the PAC.
Goldie Caughlan and Les Berenson MD co-chairs of GMO Free Washington.
were both elected to the board.

Seattle Hempfest August 17-19, 2012
Puyallup Fair Sept 7-23, 2012
There will be a volunteer booth at Seattle Hempfest and Puyallup Fair.
Consider helping for a few hours gathering signatures with us.
We have been graciously donated our spot by event coordinators of Hemp Fest and
anticipate a great return in signatures over the three day event.
We will also have a table at the Puyallup Fair.
We need volunteers to be in front of natural food stores throughout Washington including PCC, Central Coop, Marlenes (Federal way & Tacoma), Olympia Coop, Skagit Valley Coop (Mt. Vernon), Whole Foods (all stores), Main Market Coop (Spokane), Tacoma Food Co-op and others. (see link below where petitions are located).
Do you know Chiropractors, Message therapists, Naturopaths or others
who might be willing to gather signatures in their workplace? Contact us to help arrange.

Monsanto will outspend us, and create an illusion that I-522 is not
in the public’s best interest.

GMO project information –
GMO Free Seattle had started a restaurant project which is on hold.
Our goal is two fold:
A) To find ingredients that local restaurants can use to substitute for their GMO ingredients
B) To work with local restaurants and their menus to provide healthier food for their patrons.
This model would be able to help other communities with their local restaurants.
